Child author Lexi P. is a creative and adventurous kidpreneur with a big imagination and even bigger hair. She is an honor-roll student who loves to serve her community. She is an active Girl Scout member who eagerly mentors younger girls in her troop. Lexi has a passion for writing and saw the need to share her personal lessons about learning to love herself. In her debut book, Curly Girls Love Your Curls, Lexi did just that. She shared a positive message about how loving your natural hair reinforces the importance of self-esteem. Her second book the Ice Cream Talk Loving The Skin You’re In expands the topic of self love even more. The young author is a strong believer in following your dreams and believing in yourself. Through what she is envisioning as a series of children’s books, Lexi P. plans on sharing with the world her many adventures and life-lessons.
In 2017 the young author was selected by Verizon to be featured in their #Weneedmore initiative which exposes youth to careers in STEM and entrepreneurship. In Lexi’s public service announcement with Verizon she shared her story on being a kidpreneur. Lexi uses her platform to inspire other kids to follow their dreams.
As a motivational speaker, Lexi provides inspiration and captivates audiences when she delivers dynamic messages at conferences, seminars, and workshops. She is frequently called on to speak to youth groups about self -esteem and self-confidence.
The next big thing Lexi plans to share with the world is her Curlanista hair line. She taught girls how to love their hair in her debut book, Curly Girls Love Your Curls now she wants to show them how to care for their natural coils. Her hair line is set to launch early 2018.
Shameeka Stanley, owner and operator of Healthy Body Healthy Hair Boutique specializing in transitional, natural, and chemically treated haircare. An Esteemed graduate Of Paul Mitchell’s Academy, experienced Platform Artist /National Educator for several well-known professional hair product lines and Holistic Heath Consultant (certified in Yoga, Reiki, Holistic Nutrition). She has dedicated much time to mastering styling of many hair types and holistic treatments for scalp conditions. Understanding whether the focus is ourselves or a loved one/ones, the trade secrets used everyday in salons can be learned in workshops to solve many haircare dilemmas. Believing team work makes the dream work, she is here to assist you along your journey to the destination of healthy hair styling made simple. Remember: A Healthy Body easily grows Healthy Hair!

Dr. Tiffany Taft
Dr. Tiffany Taft, is a Holistic Health Practitioner and founder of the lifestyle company, Sacred Soul Wellness, LLC. Among many tools she uses in her practice, she focuses on the integration of Eastern and Western medicine concepts for the healing of the mind, body, and spirit. She is an Advanced Certified Yoga Instructor, Licensed Medical Massage Therapist, Certified Holistic Health Coach, and Birth Doula assisting others in achieving their personal and professional goals through self-awareness and mindful connection. She remains an advocate for those who desire to live in purpose. She is honored to hold the sacred space her clients need most to facilitate their change.
Tiffany will speak to us on the topic of “Find Your Focus” in which she shares simple techniques to reliably bring yourself to a mindful state through the course of your everyday life to find your bliss, through meditation and breath work.
Julia M. Spraggins
The “Its A Wrap Project” was founded by Julia M. Spraggins during the summer of 2016. The project offers hands on instructions for how to use fabrics and scarves to wrap and adorn the head in versatile and creative ways. Various styles of head wraps and fabric choices are introduced during the presentation.
The founder believes that the Art of Head Wrapping is beautiful, unique, elegant and fashionable. And that one will never experience a bad hair day when you can “wrap it up”. Julia has over 25 years of experience working in the Fashion Industry, fields of Communications and Marketing. She is a Wraptician, Certified Image and Fashion Consultant/Stylist and holds a MBA in Marketing. Her is true passionate is fashion and working with girls and women.
Sharae is a motivational speaker & natural hairstylist/ loctician specializing in Traditional Locs, Permanent Loc Extensions, Loc Styling, Faux Locs, Goddess Locs, etc! She is also a very talented make-up artist. Ms. Marshall will be demonstrating how to properly apply her new moisturizing product to textured natural hair and Locs! She will demonstrate how to style Locs in between maintenance without retwisting roots!
